Small cap is a term used to classify companies with a relatively small market capitalization. A company’s market capitalization is the market value of its outstanding shares. The definition of small cap can vary but it in the USA for example, generally a company with a market capitalization of between USD300 million and USD2 billion. Funds and ETFs exist that just invest in small cap stocks.
